BRAZIL COUNTRY MANAGER (Active)

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Our client has entrusted us to seek a Country Manager for Brazil. The Country Manager will report to the CSO at headquarters in Germany. The position requires a candidate with extensive experience in international business focused in shipping industry. The Country Manager will be entirely responsible for all company operations in Brazil, based in Santos - Estado de São Paulo, Brazil. As well as he or she will have to manage positive relationships with employees, key clients and other industry decision makers; being responsible for all company departments, including accounting, sales and marketing, foreign trade, human resources and operations. For this position will also be responsible for overseeing product development and cost control. The Country Manager will be expected to take an active and visible role to represent the company's brand and the industry as a whole.

FUNCTIONS:

• Country Manager will be responsible for establishing short medium and long term corporate strategies for various regions in order to sustain and grow the company’s business interests.
• He or she will be also responsible for sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
• Developing budgets and forecasts.
• Building solid rapport and partnership with customer base, and evaluating and proposing product development and strategic business opportunities.
• Policies & Procedures.
• Staffing/Scheduling.
• Inventory Control.
• Gross Margin/Loss Prevention.
• Controllable Expenses/Income.

REQUERIMENTS:

• BA/BS degree.
• MBA a plus.
• 10 Years as Country Manager experience.
• Proven record of successfully leading & motivating team.
• Industrial products background. Chemicals, coatings and corrosion knowledge will be a plus.
• Strong People Oriented Leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Drive and determination.
• Sound decision making and problem solving.
• Desire for personal and professional growth.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multi-task, organize work flow and produce detailed/thorough work in a fast paced environment.
• A high level of integrity Financial analysis skills.
• The ability to proactively resolve issues quickly and creatively.
• Bilingual Portugues - English.
• German language will be an important plus.
• Proficient with SAP, computer tools and Office applications.
• Position will require regular travel 30%.
